Our History

A group of individuals decided to form a new state-chartered community, commercial bank in Maury County, Tennessee. On March 8, 2005, the Organizers submitted a Notice of Intent with the State of Tennessee to form Heritage Bank & Trust.

The Organizers and Senior Management of Heritage believed that a new community bank was needed to serve the citizens of Maury County. A goal that was of utmost importance to each of the Organizers was to establish a community bank that conducted business in a fair and ethical way, serving the market and its citizens the way community banks should.

The talents, skills, and extensive years of experience of the 26 individuals who started with the bank in October, 2005, are of the highest quality. The values of this core group of individuals echo the mission of Heritage Bank & Trust.
